ABSTRACT: Enhancing vocational education through virtual internships offers innovative opportunities for students to gain practical experience remotely. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of virtual internships in vocational training, determine the specific skills and competencies developed, and measure student satisfaction with virtual internship experiences. A survey design was selected to gather detailed insights from participants. The sample size comprised 180 students from various vocational training programs that incorporated virtual internships. Purposive sampling ensured the selection of participants with direct experience in virtual internships. The case study was conducted at the University of Lagos, Lagos State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that virtual internships significantly enhanced students' technical skills, improved their ability to work independently, and provided valuable industry exposure. Students expressed high levels of satisfaction with the virtual internships, appreciating the flexibility and access to diverse opportunities. It was recommended that vocational training institutions expand virtual internship offerings and establish partnerships with industry stakeholders to provide robust and comprehensive internship experiences.
